Education and Experience:
I was born to Dr. Nikhil Mehrotra (Oral Surgeon) and Mrs. Vini Mehrotra, in Lucknow, India (http://www.lucknowdentalimplant.com). I grew up in India and often watched my dad work with his patients. The love and respect his patients have for him Inspired me to pursue Dental School in India and I graduated from the prestigious King George’s Medical University, Dental College, India at the top of my class, with 4 gold medals in my final year. I subsequently decided to pursue my DDS from Columbia University, New York.
Always passionate about surgery, and for providing the highest level of care possible to all my patients, I trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Bellevue Hospital Center/NYU Langone Medical center. During my surgical training, along with the extensive training in the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, I also completed an internship in General Surgery at the above hospitals and also simultaneously obtained my medical degree (MD) from NYU School of Medicine. I have been in private practice since 2019, serving patients with the safest and highest quality of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery including Wisdom teeth removal, precise dental Implant placement under safe Intra-venous sedation among others.
I am fully Board Certified in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, with extensive training and experience in Oral & Maxillofacial surgical procedures, including extensive training in adult and pediatric anesthesia. I maintains active licenses in NJ, and hold active certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced cardiac Life support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. I am also an active member of American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (including NJOMS), American Dental Association and the American Medical Association.
Having being lucky enough to train and learn at Columbia and NYU, as subsequently as an associate at a busy practice, Dr. Mehrotra has had the privilege of treating thousands of patients and looks forwarding to helping you with your Oral Surgical needs.
Currently Dr. Mehrotra is working at Clearchoice Dental Implant centre and in the process of Building his private office.
Interests:
A former associate Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at Warren Oral Surgery, I am currently in the process of building my own practice. I practice full scope of OMFS, with special interest in planning and treating placement complex dental implant cases, wisdom teeth removal and dento-alveolar surgery under office based and General anesthesia. I have hospital privileges at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Somerset, NJ and at the Surgery center of New Jersey, Watchung, NJ.
I strongly believe in giving back to the community and during dental school and residency, I always played an active role in giving back to the community by volunteering in community events like organizing free dental camps, “Give Kids a Smile”, Columbia Free Dental clinic, among others.
Outside of work, I love to spend time with his wife and daughter along with the rest of our family and friends. I am also a regular practitioner of Sahaja Yoga Meditation, and love to read, play cricket, tennis and table tennis in my free time.
